I want to assure each of you that our government remains strong and capable. Currently, we are operating at 80% capacity, with the aim to fully staff all major departments by the end of April. This is a testament to the resilience and dedication of our public servants and the trust you have placed in us.
Today marks a pivotal moment as our First Councilor, Mr. Jack Williams, and his elected government officially take the reins of leadership. The forum is now fully operational, and each department is poised to serve the needs of our community effectively. It is a time for the crown to take a respectful step back and trust in the democratic processes that guide us. I have full confidence in Mr. Williams's abilities to lead from 13 Palm Circle in our beautiful capital city of Palm Springs.
There is indeed a positive vibe and a new light as we transition out of the URV era. Let us all embrace this change with open hearts and minds. The Iris Isles is strong—not just in governance and resilience but in spirit and unity. Our region is indeed in a good place, and now more than ever, we must move forward with our vision, ready to execute plans and initiatives that ensure our community thrives like never before.
