Article I || Titles
1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the Iris Bill of Rights.
1.01 || This Act may be referred to in full as The Iris Bill of Rights of 2023.
Article II || Basic Rights
2.00 || All individuals are equal before the law and entitled to equal protection and benefit without discrimination based on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national or social origin, disability, or any other status.
2.01 ||: Right to Life, Liberty, and Security
1. Every individual has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.
2. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile.
3. Torture, cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment is strictly prohibited.
Article III || Right to a Fair Trial
3.00 || Right to a Fair Trial include,
1. Every person has the right to a fair and impartial trial.
2. Every person accused of a crime shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
3. All individuals have the right to legal representation.
4. No one shall be compelled to testify against themselves.
Article IV || Other Important Rights
4.00 ||: Article 4: Freedom of Speech and Expression
1. Every individual has the right to freedom of speech, expression, and opinion.
2. Censorship, prior restraint, and any form of suppression of ideas and information are prohibited, subject to reasonable limitations for the protection of public order, national security, public health, or the rights and reputations of others.
4.01 ||: Freedom of Religion and Belief
1. Every individual has the freedom to choose, practice, and change their religion or belief.
2. No one shall be compelled to adhere to any religious institution or participate in religious activities against their will.
3. The State shall remain neutral in matters of religion and ensure the protection of religious minorities.
4.02 ||: Right to Political Participation
1. Every citizen has the right to participate in the political affairs of the country.
2. Every citizen is free to form political parties, run for public office, and engage in peaceful political activities.
3. All citizens have the right to vote in free and fair elections.
