Homesteaders and Homeowners Act of 2024
An Act to establish rules for owning a home in the region of Iris.

TO BE ENACTED by the Sovereign’s official signature, advice and consent of the Executive Council, The House of Nobles, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Article I || Titles
1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the Homesteaders Homeowners Act of 2024
1.01 || This Act may be referred to in full as Homesteaders Homeowners Act of 2024

1.01 || This Act may be referred to in full as Homesteaders Homeowners Act of 2024
2.00 || All property ownership within the Kingdom of Iris shall be registered and kept on record by the Domestic Affairs Department.
2.01 || The Domestic Affairs Department shall issue Deeds/Titles to property owners, subject to renewal every six months to ensure the estate remains active.
2.02 || Each citizen of the Kingdom of Iris is entitled to own only one estate at a time.
The exception to this rule is if a citizen is residing in a government-owned estate.
2.03 || The Sovereign of the Kingdom of Iris has the authority to designate which estates qualify as government-owned properties.The Sovereign shall publicly announce the list of government-owned estates. Government-owned estates do not require Deeds/Titles.
Article III || Estate Pricing and Inheritance Guidelines
3.00 || The Domestic Affairs Department and the Treasury Department are authorized to set the prices for estates each term, based on the current state of the economy.
3.01 || Estate owners are permitted to designate an heir to inherit their estate under the following circumstances:
a. The owner leaves the region.
b. The owner becomes inactive, allowing the deed to expire.
c. The owner gifts the estate to their chosen heir.
3.02 || The inheritance statement must be signed off by the Councilor of Justice and Arbitration.
Article IV || Historic Society Qualification
4.00 || The Sovereign has the authority to determine which estates qualify for inclusion in the historic society.
4.01 || Estates used by former Sovereigns, along with their contents, shall become museums. If a former Sovereign remains in the region after their reign, they may arrange the museum according to their preference.
4.02 || Upon exiting office, all First Councilors shall be tasked with designing a museum exhibit showcasing their works during their tenure.

5.00 ||This act is a standard act that will need the passage of both House of Parliament along with the Sovereign’s Consent.
