TO BE ENACTED by the Sovereign’s official signature, advice and consent of the Executive Council, The House of Nobles, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Article I || Titles
1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the Mental Health Protection Act of 2024

2.00 || Mental Health Leave of Absence (MLA): A temporary leave granted to individuals for the purpose of addressing mental health needs.
2.01 || Eligible Individuals: All citizens and government officials, including elected and appointed positions, within the region of Iris.
Article III || Rights and Protections
3.00 || Any eligible individual may request an MLA for mental health reasons.
3.01 || The request for MLA can be made directly to the relevant authority or supervisor without the need for detailed disclosure of personal mental health conditions.
3.02 || The standard duration for MLA shall be up to 30 days, with extensions possible upon review. Extensions beyond the initial 30 days must be reviewed and approved by the First Councilor or an appointed mental health officer.
3.03 || Individuals on MLA shall retain their positions and cannot be removed, demoted, or discriminated against due to their leave. Upon return, individuals shall resume their duties with the same status, pay, and responsibilities as prior to their leave.
