The Avaldonian Herald is the official Foreign Office newsletter for the Republic of Avaldonia, and is approved, written, and published by the Foreign Office for the convenience of distribution to Regions which we have foreign relations with all throughout NationStates. Creation of Honours
The latter part of this month has seen tremendous development within the Region as the Governor announced on 16th October a new awards system:
1. The Grand Order of the Avaldonian Star; "awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the region, showing an unwavering commitment to the Republic."
2. The Order of the Silver Star; "awarded for those who demonstrated exceptional leadership, excellence, and dedication in their fields."
3. The Order of Royal Oak; "awarded for significant contributions to the preservation of culture or a particular area of the Region."
4. The Order of Merit; "Awarded for exceptional merit in various fields."
This October saw Saintlike Island awarded with the Order of the Silver Star, Grand Cross; and Burvensaat awarded the Order of Royal Oak, 1st Class. Both recieving the respective awards for dedication to the region in their particular areas, especially Saintlike Island who serves as the 1st Speaker of Parliament and Chairman of the Regional Security Service.
