TO BE ENACTED by the President’s official signature, advice and consent of the Council of Nations and its leadership as assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Article I || Titles
1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the Iris Defense Act of 2023.

2.00 || This is an act to establish a Defense Framework for the region of Iris, defining the powers and responsibilities of the President, creation of two branches of the military, and the establishment of a military rank structure.
2.01 || The President shall be the Commander-in-Chief of the Military. The President may delegate their authority to an Air Chief Marshal, who will act as the operational leader of the Military.
Article III || Military Breakdown
3.00 || The Military will be divided into two branches: the Active branch and the Ceremonial branch.
1. The Active branch is charged with the defense of the Region and its allies. It is authorized to conduct counter-offensive operations as deemed necessary for the defense of the Region.
2. The Ceremonial branch, modeled after the Irish Regiment, will perform military ceremonies at special events in the Region, at the request of the President, or during special holidays.
3.01 || The Military Rank Structure shall consist of five officer positions and five enlisted positions, as follows:
Officer Positions:
1. Air Chief Marshal (ACM)
2. Air Vice-Marshal (AVM)
3. Air Commodore (AC)
4. Group Captain (GC)
5. Wing Commander (WC)
Enlisted Positions:
1. Warrant Officer (WO)
2. Flight Sergeant (FS)
3. Sergeant (Sgt)
4. Corporal (Cpl)
5. Leading Aircraftman/woman (LAC/LACW)

4.00 ||This act is a standard act that will need to pass the Council of Nations and then be signed by the President into law.
