A New Constitution
As October came to a peaceful end, major change was seen in the Serene Republic of Avaldonia. That change was the adoption of our (hopefully) final constitution on the 25th of October; this was ushered in by the author of this new constitution, Unhinged Saxon, who wished to push for a more Republican and Independent Government system. This new constitution was passed by an emergency bill - the first and only time this will ever happen. Under the provisions of this new constitution, the position of Prime Minister is now replaced by the office of President of the Republic. In comparison to the previous constitutions, which were more experimental, this new constitution granted the HoS/HoG exponentially more power; the President has the power to govern the region as they deem effective and necessary, nominate judges for the Court, call early elections, and administrate the cabinet to name a few of the powers connected to the office. Meanwhile, the Governor has now taken on a much more reduced role in terms of Government, with the only proper connection being the joint role of Election Commissioner. However, this constitution was not met without hesitation, due to some miscommunication. The then Prime Minister Great Conuto and Frepar had some reservations about the after effects, however, these were quickly calmed after further debate; in the end, the process won. Under this new constitution, the Republic has been thriving better than ever, the Parliament has vastly rewritten the laws to be better equipped, numbers are on the rise, and roleplay is now active more than ever.
Presidential start of term poll results
After the passing of the new constitution, then Prime Minister Great Conuto and Frepar called a General Election, eventually winning and being sworn into office on the 28th of October. Swiftly appointing his cabinet and getting underway with administration of the Region. Alongside that, a Start of Term poll was conducted in lieu of this being Mr Frepar's second term. Lasting from the 28th of October to the 2nd of November. In this article, we'll go through each question and examine the outcomes and compare to Mr Frepar's last midterm poll.

Firstly was the question "on the scale of 1-5 (with 5 being the highest and 1 the lowest), how would you rate President Frepar? The results were as follows: 1 - 0%, 2 - 0%, 3 - 42.9%, 4 - 14.3%, and 5 - 42.9%. This means that President Frepar stands at an approval of 57.8%, an increase of 17.8% compared to his midterm poll last term.
The second question was "how would you rate the RSS Chairman, Saintlike Island?" The results of this poll saw 85.7% of those who answered choose 5 and 14.3% choose 4. In comparison to the midterm poll of the prior term, Saintlike Island and the RSS approval rating had increased by 5.7%, still maintaining that higher score compared to other areas of Government.
After that came the question "how well has parliament done?" 51.7% chose 5, meanwhile 42.9% chose 4. Parliament fared far better in this poll than the midterm poll of the prior term, going up 11.7% in approval with the public.
Now onto the cabinet questions, which have no comparisons for the midterm as they are new. Firstly in the cabinet questions came "how would you rate the interior ministry?" Of the people who took the poll 0% choose 1, 28.6% chose 2, 14.3% choose 3, 28.6% choose 4, and 28.6% chose 5. This shows the general discontent of the public toward the often silent Interior Ministry, which has yet to make any visible efforts.
Afterward came the question "how would you rate the Foreign Ministry?" 42.9% choose 3, 14.9% choose 4, and 42.9% choose 5. This shows the more positive response toward the foreign ministry, which after this poll became more active in terms of effort.
Then came the question of the RP ministry, which saw 42.9% choose 1, 14.3% choose 2 through 5 each. However, it should be noted that the RP ministry has become the most active of the Ministries, especially after launching RP.
Overall, this poll has shown an increase in Government approval from the populous, projecting a hopeful future for Avaldonia.
This has been approved by the Foreign Office; the ambassador which provided the news bulliten will be more than happy to accept and answer and questions which may arise.
